Alternatively, use the digital control panel to easily set your cooking temperature and time.
- LIGHT FIRE WITH THE PUSH OF A BUTTON – Light your charcoal with the push of a button using the Automatic Fire Starter (AFS). Simply load up to 10 pounds of Kamado Joe Big Block Charcoal into the grill, set your temperature on the app or control panel, and press the AFS button to heat the ignitor element inside the grill. The Kontrol Fan™ works to maintain your desired grilling or smoking temperature with ease.

Simply lower the half-moon cooking grate lower to the flame for a direct sear or use the half-moon heat deflector for an indirect cooking method.
